this little post is entitled st margaret's secondary school. (:
the camp that really changed my life.
where shall i start. i signed up to do this camp like in nov. and ever since i have been anticipating for it. i know it will be great. jus didnt expect it to blow me away. (: during the briefin i was like finally finally. ITS COMING!
i arrived at the school early early. like got there arnd 6 am. the nite before i was like some excited camper. couldnt sleep. i was smilin like mad. got into school canteen with ace. got some sandwiches and Vitasoy!!
when i first met my class. i was really really excited. cuz i got the class list the nite before, and i knew i was gonna take 3/2 group 3. i was like readin the names over and over. realised valentina (nice name huh) was my leader. (: took attendance and started playin! (: rah rah them in school. realised they were so shy and quiet. but noted my grp very loud! yay.
went to sarimbun campsite. in the bus i was talkin to them. inside i was very nervous. heh. didnt know how they felt about me. now i do. They were like OMG IS THIS MY TRAINER! hahas.
the first day flew by really quickly. they drew this picture of me. charmaine and liz i think. oh so cute lar.
we proceeded on the day pretty easily. i knew that they weren't too enthu about the camp yet. dont blame them. but i knew it will be definately better for the rest of the days!i was not wrong. second day was a blast. like totally. high elemets. flyin fox. could see the BEEEEEG smile on their faces. it was a much better day. felicia overcame her fear of heights today. (: janice imitated me at the campfire the exact same thing! heh. alot of smiles all around. did the low wall. saw ppl flyin over the wall! soe yeon was so funny. (: did entrapment too. girls leadin their buddies along. it was so cute watchin them. they got like omg 15000 bonus points. WOW. it was certainly a great day!
the third day begun with them doin water activities. IT WAS DARNNNNNNNNN FUN! milo pond milo pond milo pond. (: need i say more. the net, the slide, the rafts. had outdoor cooking. the girls really cooked really well! (: am proud of them. they shared everything. thanks karishma. i was actually hungry. but i didn't want u girls to go hungry too. rather i go hungry then u girls. (: had fire making and they built a really large fire!
day 4 begun with me at the frog station. heh. marbles! girls pls get into a circle. read out the instructions on the piece of paper pls. in the shortest and safest way possible, pass the given item arnd the cirle. i am gonna let u pass marbles. wait for sigh of relief from the girls. when they really believe that its passin marbles, put hand into pail, take out MARBLES! anticipate screams. hahas!
my group, to be honest, was the only grp that didnt run off. they were like oh so cute! karishma kissed it. (: haha. was really proud of them.
campfire. totally rocked. the group performance of 3/2 definately touched me. i realised that i really loved these girls. (: they were really really special. in many ways more then one. the campfire passed on. to be honest. deep down. i was startin to feel sad. cuz i knewthey were gonna leave soon. ahhhh. when i started singing out always be my baby. tears started to well up. 3 doors down here without you. apologise by timberland. (:
the final debrief that nite was difficult for me. they were certainly the bestestestest group ever to me. (: stayed up tat nite. i was like tryin hard not to sleep but i knew i had to reply everysingle one of them. valentina, fion, trina, karishma, charmaine, elizabeth, soyeon, joanne, durga, mallory, felicia, sarah, xin yu, rachel! (: missed u girls certainly. ((:
the final day came. i was tryin hard not to let the girls know about it. but i knew i had to. after they changed, i sat them down.
let karen talked to them first. then i started. when i was done. everyone cept for charmaine and karishma and mallory was cryin. i couldnt take it. jus broke down. =x
i asked saliha to let me go back to the school with them as i wanted to be with them a little longer. (: luckily i could. yay!
when i reached back to the school, ireally wished it was me boardin the bus. jus departing to sarimbun again. i knew i had to leave the school. or else the girls would cry even more. i couldnt bear to see them cryin. ):
girls.
you were really special. thank you for all the beautiful memories you all gave me. 3e2 totally rocked. you made me feel so attached to all of u. everysingle one of you. all teh smiles, laughter and tears. dont thank me. i didnt do anythin at all. it was you girls who made it such a beautiful moment. i will be leavin in feb for brunei and i cant do any camps soon. it will be a great parting present for me. (: i made a lot of new friends and learnt alot about everyone of u. what a camp indeed. (: i really dont know what else to say as i am sweatin in here. heh. thanks so much.
